Komplette Remission nach intratumoraler Misteltherapie eines Duodenum-Karzinom-Rezidivs
Complete Remission after Intralesional Mistletoe Therapy into a Recurrent Duodenal Carcinoma
Ein männlicher Patient, geboren 1938, wurde wegen eines Duodenumkarzinoms pT3, pM1, G3 in 4/96 einer Whipple Operation mit Hemicolektomie re. behandelt. 10/97 wurde ein inoperables 8 x 7 x 4 cm großes Rezidiv im Epigastrium mit Kontakt zur Aorta abdominalis und zur Vena cava mittels CT entdeckt. Vom 24.11.1997 bis 02.01.1998 erhielt der Patient intratumoral das Mistelpräparat ABNOBAviscum Quercus in rasch ansteigender Dosierung von 0,015 mg bis 75 mg (= 5 ml ABNOBAviscum Quercus 2). Unter dieser Therapie schrumpfte der Tumor rasch und wurde so hart, dass weitere Injektionen in den Tumor ab 02.01.1998 unmöglich wurden. Die Therapie wurde 3 x wöchentlich mit 1,5 mg subcutan fortgesetzt. Die Remission wurde wöchentlich sonographisch und mittels CT vom 26.1.1998 dokumentiert. Die komplette Remission wurde durch CT's von 6/98, 11/98 und 7/99 bestätigt. Am Abend nach den intratumoralen Injektionen mit 60 und 75 mg bekam der Patient Fieber bis 38,9°C. Parallel zum Tumorrückgang nahm sein Körpergewicht von 62 kg (Größe 178) auf 80 kg innerhalb von 4 Monaten zu. Analgetika konnten im Januar 1998 abgesetzt werden. Die letzte Konsultation war im Dezember 1999 ohne Hinweis auf ein Rezidiv.

A male patient born 1938 with a duodenal carcinoma pT3, pM1, G3 got a Whipple's operation in 4/1996. In 10/1997 an inoperable 8 x 7 x 4 cm recurrence with contact to the Aorta abdominalis and Vena cava appeared in the epigastrium documented by CT. From 24.11.1997 to 2.1.1998 the patient got a rapidly increased dosage of the mistletoe preparation ABNOBAviscum Quercus from 0.015 mg up to 75 mg (= 5 ml ABNOBAviscum Quercus 2) intratumorally. Under this treatment the tumor shrinked and became very hard, so that it was impossible to infiltrate any more injection solution. Therapy was continued since 07.011998 subcutaneously with 1.5 mg three times a week up to now. The remission was documented sonographically and by CT on 26.01.1998. In 6/1998, 11/1998, and 7/1999 the complete remission was confirmed by CT. In the evening after the intralesional injections with 60 and 75 mg fever up to 38.9°C occured. According to the remission the patient's weight increased from 62 kg (height 178) to 80 kg within 4 months and analgesics could be removed in 1/1998. The last consultation was in 12/1999 with no evidence of any recurrence.
