Empirical Results with Mistletoe Infusions of Isorel/Vysorel
Seit dem Jahre 1982 werden Mistelinfusionen mit Isorel/Vysorel bei fortgeschrittenen Karzinomen angewendet. Das Wirkspektrum gleicht dem der subcutanen Mistelanwendung. Besonders in der Palliativtherapie hat die Infusionsanwendung wegen der stark roborierenden und analgetischen Wirkungen ihren Stellenwert. Eindeutig ist sie die substituierende Form der Misteltherapie. Obwohl große Mengen des Heilmittels parenteral zugeführt werden, würde man der Mistel nicht gerecht werden, sie zu einem biologischen Zytostatikum zu reduzieren.

Since 1982 mistletoe infusions of Isorel/Vysorel have been used for patients with advanced cancer. The spectrum of the effects is similar to those of subcutaneous mistletoe application. Particularly in palliative cancer therapy, the infusion application plays an important role because of its effects of strengthening the immune system and as an analgesic. This form of mistletoe application is the substitutive one. Although large quantities of this medication are given parenterally, in order to do justice to it mistletoe should not be regarded only as a biological cytostatic agent.
