Behandlung der Pollinosis mit Galphimia glauca: Eine Doppelblindstudie unter Praxisbedingungen
Allergol. 1990: 13(10): 359-363.

Abstract Treatment of pollinosis with the homeopathic preparation Galphimia glauca.

To improve knowledge regarding the efficiency of homeopathic drug preparations, a controlled clinical trial was conducted to compare the therapeutic success of such a preparation with those of placebo. A total of 54 practitioners selected 201 patients for the study.
The therapeutic success with Galphimia was significantly superior to those adminstered placebo. After approximately two weeks of treatment the symptoms of the eyes were cured or remarkably improved for 65% of the patients with Galphimia, but for only 50% of the patients with placebo. For the symptoms of the nose, the proportions are 66% (Galphimia) and 44% (placebo).

After five weeks of treatment, 77% of the patients with Galphimia had shown markedly improvement while only 51% of the patients using placebo had cured or improved symptoms of the eyes. 77% of the patients with nose symptoms using Galphimia showed improvement, while 46% of the placebo group improved.
