The basis for this paper is as follows: If there is any homoeopathic efficacy, there must be a law of nature which is not yet known to us and therefore has to be investigated. After having described the difference between physical and mathematical modelling, reasons are given why mathematical modelling should be preferred to give a model for the homoeopathic phenomenon. A simple model is described, and the preconditions according to which it should be worked out are listed.
