Enzymaktivitäten des Leberzellstoffwechsels als Zielfunktionen für Wirkungen mineralischer Homöopathika - Berücksichtigung inhärenter methodischer Besonderheiten

Distinct potencies of Kalium cyanatum, Molybdenum sulfuratum and Ferrum phosphoricum were used. The homoeopathics were given orally over a period of seven days. Each potency was administered to a group of six rats.
The effects of these substances on marker enzymes of peroxisomes, mitochondria, microsomes and the cytosol were verified. The influence of time on the results was demonstrated. A method to neutralize this Influence was explored and discussed.
The experiments revealed the following results:
1. The activity of the peroxisomal uricase was decreased by certain potencies of the applied substances.
2. The maximal effect was caused by the D8-potency.
3. All of the results were reproduced in additional examinations.
4. The activities of cytochrome-c-oxidase, NADPHcytochrome-P450-reductase, xanthine oxidase as well as glyeraldehyd-3-phosphate-dehydrogenase were not influenced by the substances applied.
5. The influence of the methods in use on the enzyme activities must be taken into account when interpreting the results.
