Abstract	The paper presents two different models, by which the measurement of the effects of some selected homoeopathics in the cellular metabolism is rendered possible. Orally administered zincum and phosphorus - as commercially available lactose tablets - influence the histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells. The concentration of the tripeptide glutathione and the activity of the enzyme glutathione-peroxidase can be changed by intraperitoneal application of sulfur preparations. The realization of the sulfur effect depends on the time of application (9 a.m. or 6 p.m.). The obtained effects can be interpreted as compartment-specific actions of the preparations.
