Multiple sclerosis (MS) and Geophysical Factors

by Dr. Johannes Resch, Jockrim

Abstract  Epidemiologic studies on the occurence of MS in correlation to geographic (geomagnetic) latitude, age of the children in puberty and solar cosmic rays (11-years-cycle). There is a significant correlation between disease and geomagnetic latitude (north-south-gradient). The risk of becoming ill depends on where they live during childhood and until puberty. There is a temporal relationship between the frequency of MS and the solar cycle.
